Via Ferrata Innsbruck

The Innsbruck Via Ferrata (Innsbrucker Klettersteig) is a popular climbing route located in the Nordkette mountains high above Innsbruck, Austria. It offers stunning views of the city and surrounding Alps. The route is moderately difficult, featuring steel cables, ladders, and anchored steps to help us to climb this stunning mountains.

Description

Just a few minutes from Mayrhofen centre and we can start the climbing adventure. First we do an introduction about climbing on Via Ferratas and about the gear. The Via Ferrata is a perfect mix out of hiking and climbing up the mountain.

At the top we can enjoy a drink and an ice cream with a beautiful view over Mayrhofen.

  • strength and condition
    moderate - 6 to 8 hours of walking and climbing
  • Technique
    some easy climbing or via ferrata experince needed
    sure-footedness and a head for heights
